The more I think about it, the more upset I get at this whole episode:

• Eleven goes on about how he’s only alive because of River…in front of Clara.
• Eleven kisses the woman that was about to kill Clara…in front of Clara…and he doesn’t even bother to ask Clara if she’s okay.
  
• Eleven fantasizes about saying goodbye to someone who he already had a chance to say a proper goodbye to and that has been dead for hundreds of years…in front of Clara….when he could’ve spent that time saying goodbye to her seeing as she’s the person who has spent the last few years of his life beside him and BASICALLY KILLED HERSELF KNOWING SHE WOULD DIE A MILLION MORE TIMES JUST TO SAVE HIS LIFE.

This all in the same episode where he abandons her, blatantly lying to her face, and breaking a very important promise he made two seconds after he’s made it. In one episode Clara went from being his everything to seemingly unimportant to him. I don’t get it.

I really thought this was the episode that was going to cement their relationship and it turned out to be the total opposite.
